About This Site

A person who has left Cibola County custody will usually disappear from a live roster. The next useful record depends on who held the person: a county release record, the New Mexico Corrections Department offender search, a court case, or a post-release supervision record. This privately run reference site brings those distinct paths together so readers can identify the official source that fits the release.

Why This Resource Exists

New Mexico law provides public access to many government records, but access does not mean that every Cibola County release appears in one database. County bookings now involve the Cibola County Correctional Center, a private facility that has held people for separate county, U.S. Marshals Service, and immigration authorities. State prisoners at the Western New Mexico Correctional Facility belong to a different record system. Historical records may also point to the former McBride Road jail, which closed in 2017.

This site organizes those lines of inquiry. County release documents come from the county, the authorizing court, or the facility intake route. NMCD maintains offender and sentence records for people in the state prison system, including the women’s and men’s campuses in Grants. The NMCD Probation and Parole Division handles community supervision, while federal releases require the appropriate BOP, ICE, or USMS channel. Clear separation between those systems helps prevent a transfer from being mistaken for release to the community.

Resources Collected Here

The site is arranged around the records and official routes that are most useful after custody ends or changes hands. It includes:

  • the home page’s complete released-person search path and guidance for requesting a county release record;
  • focused help for a Release Date Lookup, a VINE Inmate Check, and Post-Release Supervision;
  • separate profiles for each present detention or prison campus in Cibola County and for the former county jail;
  • instructions for distinguishing a live custody listing from a release, discharge, court disposition, or transfer record; and
  • records-request guidance for booking sheets, custody and release logs, and booking photographs held by the agency that created them.

Limits of This Site

Cibola County Released Inmates is privately operated. It has no connection to Cibola County, the Cibola County Sheriff’s Office, CoreCivic, NMCD, a court, a jail, or any local, state, or federal agency. It cannot act for an agency or speak for a records custodian.

  • We cannot release, detain, move, or transfer a person.
  • We cannot post bond, arrange a visit, or send funds for a visitor.
  • We cannot confirm custody, charges, supervision, or a release event.
  • We cannot offer legal advice or represent anyone in a case.
  • We cannot guarantee that an office’s phone, fee, hours, or address has not changed.

Only the government office that created or maintains a record can confirm its official meaning. This site identifies useful routes, but it cannot issue a custody or release determination.

How Search Partners Work

Some pages contain search tools supplied by outside providers. Those providers decide what their tools return and may set their own charges or subscription terms. If a visitor follows a tool to a paid service, this site may receive a referral fee. That support helps keep this reference available without charging for its articles, but it does not give us control over a partner’s prices, data, or results.
